Hotel Sol Palmeras

This was our second visit to Melia Sol Palmeras this year. We absolutely love it here, the staff in the buffet, the staff in the al la carts are amazing and so welcoming. The food.....well you definitely do not go hungry. We eat more when we are there than at home, plenty of choices...even for children from pizza and fries to multiple types of seafood. The new bar area is stunning, and is great for an after dinner drink or two or just enjoying the afternoon after swimming. The staff have become like family to us, all these things together keep us coming back. The beach is deep and long with plenty of space and beach chairs for all. The pools are great, and we've never had a problem finding a lounger, even when we were there during the March Break. There's plenty to do for all, the entertainment is great, if you're dancing the night away in the disco, you are bound to make new friends. The hotels itself is modern and clean, the staff is always cleaning and making sure that you are having a great time. The bar drinks and staff, both are great. We are already planning our next trip!!!

This hotel is the best, Osiris from custom era service are the best, together wi are doing an excellent job. I want to thank the buffet staff for their good service, the room cleanliness, the service at the bars; the overall service is the best. I love this hotel here in Varadero. I consider it to be one of the best hotels in Varadero, and it's a place I will always return to. If you need to exchange money, there's a currency exchange office (CADECA) to do so. There is also a massage service that is ideal, with very good, relaxing massages. Of course, if it's cold in Canada, this is the perfect place to spend the winter time

This is my 3rd time at this resort. The people are amazing. Every year our servers in the buffet recognize us and reserved tables. They always are so genuine with their greetings. The beach is amazing and the new outdoor bar is fantastic. They have also added a small bar on one for the walkways to the beach, making it convenient for getting drinks at the beach.

Hidden gem!!! We had an absolutely amazing stay at this resort in Cuba. I know many people worry about mosquitos and food when visiting Cuba, but I can honestly say there were no issues at all here. What truly stood out was how much the staff go above and beyond to make guests happy. In between buffet times, my daughter wanted scrambled eggs with corn. We contacted guest services, and within 5 minutes they made her a fresh, special order just for her. That level of care and attention meant so much to us. The food options were excellent and plentiful. There was something for everyone fish, salads, meats, and chicken (which was amazing). The pizza was Napolitan-style and delicious. The beach grill was a highlight as well, with charcoal-grilled wings, paella, and sausages, which were a huge hit. Lots of fruit to choose from as well. The rooms were very clean, the resort is well maintained, and the staff are incredible… kind, attentive, and genuinely focused on making sure you have everything you need. This resort exceeded all expectations. Between the great food, beautiful setting, spotless rooms, and exceptional service, it was a truly wonderful experience. We would absolutely return and highly recommend it to anyone considering Cuba !! Seriously.

Gracias a todo el personal Wonderful staff the service is excellent. Kindness and compassion shows in their work. Special mention to O Solo Mio, The Italian restaurant The waitress Yamilia Went over and above, as did all the rest of the staff. We didn’t get lucky with the weather, but we did have good food. Good drinks, good fun and lovely people.

Having visited for six years with my spouse and adult children, I can say this hotel offers more than just sun and sand. Over time, we’ve met wonderful people and enjoyed vibrant local music and evening dancing. While the food isn't gourmet compared to what we have at home, it’s always satisfying. Cuba isn’t about grand luxurious hotels, it’s about friendly staff, lively beach activities, and a welcoming atmosphere. If you can bring small solar-powered items to share with locals, it makes a big difference and is deeply appreciated. Whether you’re seeking relaxation or connection, this gem in the Caribbean truly feels like a second home. We arrive again next week and can’t wait!

I came here with my beautiful wife to celebrate our anniversary. We spend amazing days at sol Palmeras hotel. People are amazing. The beach is beautiful and food is very good. We would like to comeback again. Is a big resort with many clients. We recemde it 100%. The lady Dayagne is amazing with clients, is a good customer service, very professional and good person very kind.

Third visit. Excellent ! Beach of course is amazing. No issues with loungers, plentiful, and the resort was busy. Staff inside and out work diligently to assure cleanliness. I have yet to see an unwanted insect anywhere on the inside. Buffet offers a large selection for every meal time. No shortages here! Dining staff take care to ensure all needs are met. Bar staff inside and out, Excellent! Coffee bar, Mojito bar , wonderful treats! All in all, No Complaints! Expectations exceeded every trip! Thank you Sol Palmeros!!!
